Tyler Slife 39 passed away tragically on Sunday, May 24, in Tucson, Arizona. His life was taken far too soon, leaving behind family and friends who loved him deeply and will miss him beyond words.
Tyler was born on January 4, in San Pedro, California. He and his family later moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he grew up and attended Gale Elementary School, Gridley Middle School, and Sahuaro High School. He also attended Lincoln Culinary School in Massachusetts, where he received his culinary training.
Tyler was an energetic child who loved life and was always on the go. He loved his dogs, playing sports, listening to music, fishing (especially with his gpa), fixing things, cooking, and spending time hanging with his friends.
Though his time here was far too short, the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his smile, his spirit, his charm, and the love he gave so freely.
Tyler is survived by his mom Celia Walz (Mark Walz), his father Scott Slife (Kelly Slife), sister Jessica Slife, step-brother Noah Slife, grandmothers Janet Schrock Beik (Lew Beik) and Carol Slife, aunt Cindy Bowen, uncle/aunt Frank & Kate Rogers (Jennifer, Dean & Paige). He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Don Bowen, and Walter Slife.
A visitation/service to honor and celebrate Tyler's life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Sensible Funerals and Cremation, 109 W. Grant Rd from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember Tyler and are encouraged to share stories, memories, and pictures and celebrate the life he lived.
