Terri Denise Broden, née Clark passed on Thursday May 30th 2024 at Banner UMC Hospital in Tucson, Arizona.
Miss Terri was born on August 5, 1959 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Annette Clark and the late Richard Clark. Miss. Terri was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where her mother and family of origin still reside. She was the third of seven daughters, one preceded her in death. Miss Terri was educated at Capital High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and attended college at Southern University.
Miss Terri married Carl Wayne Broden in January 19, 1980 and together they raised four children. Miss Terri traveled around the world with Wayne during his time in the Air Force. In December 1994, they settled down in Tucson, Arizona before separating. Miss Terri started working at American Airlines on August 28, 1999 and kept that job until her passing.
Miss Terri loved reading, shopping, watching QVC, and was known for always having a saying that could encapsulate any moment and feeling. Miss Terri was funny and iconic. She was a perplexing woman who survived through many hardships in her life. She made friends everywhere she went, even when she couldn’t remember their names. Most people had at least one nickname and if you were really special to her you had multiple nicknames. She was charismatic and didn’t tolerate no foolishness. Miss Terri was a fierce advocate for others who struggled to speak up on their own. She was both strong willed and soft hearted. She unapologetically lived life on her own terms. She was multifaceted and passionate which led to many diverse experiences with those who knew her best.
Miss Terri leaves behind four children, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of beloved friends, relatives and others.
If one thing is for sure, everyone who met Miss Terri will remember her.
