Robert Samuel Friedlander, born April 10, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana, died on September 8, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona.

Robert will be remembered as a man with a lively spirit, a warm heart, and a gift for bringing people together. He had a deep sense of humor and was known for his storytelling, the kind that could keep a room engaged and leave everyone laughing long after the moment had passed. He loved people, and he showed that love in the way he cared for his friends and family.

He also loved spending time at The Parish in Tucson, a favorite place that became part of the rhythm of his life. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Levantis; his brother, Benjamin Friedlander; and his best friend, Shylo Gossman, along with many others whose lives were brightened by his friendship, laughter, and presence. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry E. Friedlander, and his mother, Marilyn Starr Hopkins.

Robert’s memory lives on in the stories told about him, in the music he loved, and in the affection of those who knew him best. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
