In Loving Memory of Norma Garcia Ramirez
It is with profound love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our querida madre, Norma, who peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 7, 2026.
To know her was to know a woman of extraordinary strength, compassion, faith, and love. She was loving, kind, loyal, humble, funny, witty, intelligent, and fiercely devoted to the people she loved. She possessed a servant’s heart and lived her life with a genuine passion for helping others, especially anyone who was hurting, struggling, or in need. She never hesitated to give what she had, whether it was her time, her strength, her wisdom, a meal, a listening ear, or simply the comfort of knowing someone cared.
She was the kind of woman who put others before herself. She could recognize pain in others and somehow find the words, presence, or tenderness to comfort them, even while quietly carrying her own burdens. Her compassion was not something she simply spoke about; it was woven into the way she lived. She loved people deeply, and that love was felt by so many.
Her family knew her as the heart of the home. She was an incredible mother, grandmother, family member, and friend. She was also known for her gift in the kitchen; one of the best cooks, whose food was made with the same love she poured into everything else. Her meals brought people together, but it was her presence that made them feel at home.
Norma leaves behind her two beloved children, Javier Ramirez and Maria Martinez, who will forever carry the love, wisdom, strength, and memories their mother gave them. She was also a cherished grandmother to her ten grandchildren: Miguel, Guillermo, Tatyana, Gabriella, Isaac, Isabella, Cristian, Dymetris, Aaron, and Briseis. Her love and influence will continue through each of them and through the generations that follow.
Above all, her greatest love was Jesus.
Her faith was something she lived. She carried a fervent love for Jesus and a holy fire in her soul that could not easily be extinguished. Through disease, hardship, disappointment, and circumstances that would have broken many, she continued to fight with courage and determination. Her faith gave her strength when her body was weak, and her love for Christ remained steadfast through every trial.
In her final months, as disease took an increasingly greater toll on her body, she continued to demonstrate the same strength that had defined her entire life. She fought with courage. She endured with dignity. And even as her own earthly journey grew increasingly difficult, the woman she had always been remained present-strong in spirit, loving in heart, and anchored in her faith.
Her passing leaves an immeasurable emptiness for those who loved her, but it also leaves behind a legacy that cannot be taken away.
She leaves behind people who were better because they knew her, hearts that were comforted because she cared, lives that were touched because she gave, and a family who will carry her love, wisdom, faith, strength, and memory forward.
She taught us that strength does not always have to be loud. Sometimes strength looks like serving others when you are tired. Sometimes it looks like offering comfort while carrying your own pain. Sometimes it looks like continuing to believe when circumstances say otherwise. And sometimes it looks like loving Jesus with everything within you, all the way to the end.
Our mother was loved by many, but she was also deeply loved by God.
Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we find comfort in knowing that her suffering is over, her earthly fight is finished, and she is finally at peace in the presence of the One she loved so "dearly".
Her life was a gift. Her love was a legacy. Her faith was her foundation. Her strength was an inspiration. And her memory will live on in everyone blessed enough to have known and loved her. Until we meet again madre. We love you. We will miss you. And we will carry you with us ALWAYS. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2Timothy 4:7
