Nancy Adele Hooper Jones 85, passed away on September 1, 2025 in Tucson, Arizona. Nancy was born on March 27, 1940 in Syracuse, New York, to Arthur George Hooper and Muriel Olive Ryder. She attended Solvay High School and grew up in Syracuse, N.Y., for most of her life. Later she worked in local department stores while raising her children. Nancy remained in the Syracuse and Auburn areas until 2014, when she moved to Tucson, Arizona.
Nancy was a caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend to all. She always had a smile and a good sense of humor despite her health problems. Later in life she enjoyed “Bingo”, diet peach tea and popcorn. She also enjoyed Christian and Country music which she shared with her longtime friend, Linda Leggett.
She is survived by her son, John A. Hooper and his wife, Teresa, of Arizona and her daughter, Penny A. Seidel of Indiana. Nancy was preceded in death by four children: Frederick A. Seidel, Dawn Nancy Seidel, Peter Albert Seidel and Jo Ann Seidel Starwell. She is also survived by 14 wonderful Grandchildren and 35 Great Grandchildren.
Nancy was one of 11 sisters and is survived by: Georgia Miller of Tucson, Arizona; Hollis Gullan, Deland, Florida; Susan Supley, New Port Richey, Florida; Kathy Bohemier, Brooksville, Florida; Judith Hooper Lee, Old Forge, Pennsylvania and Carol McBride, E. Syracuse, New York. Preceded in death by 4 sisters: Barbara Pascarella, Beverly Jean Cornell, Shirley Stewart and Patty Collins.
Other Special Persons: Nancy had several nieces and nephews in Tucson, Phoenix, and Syracuse who assisted their “Aunt Nancy” over the years.

A graveside service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 24th at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle Rd. Tucson, Arizona
