Mildred A. Hanisko, affectionately known as Midge, was born on February 27, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and passed away on September 4, 2024, in Tucson, Arizona, where she spent her final years. A devoted mother of eight, six of whom survive her, Mildred embraced her family with love and dedication, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by her children: Deannajean Beltran, Dennis Hanisko, Denise Ladage, Ellen Yown, Eddie Horton, Faye Hanisko, Elaine Boone, and Matthew Horton.

Mildred was a talented cook by trade, renowned for her delicious meals that included her favorites like cheese pizza, honey nut Cheerios, orange chicken, chocolate ice cream, and coffee. Her calm demeanor was a soothing presence to those around her. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as playing bingo, cooking, and watching old-time TV game shows, especially on the Game Show Network, which brought her great delight.

A proud Catholic, Mildred enjoyed her life in Tucson, a place she considered her favorite in the world. She shared her life with her beloved spouse, Eddie Horton, and later, Eddie Hanisko, creating a warm and loving home for her children.

Mildred's spirit lives on through her surviving siblings and the many lives she touched. Her motto, “Whatever,” reflected her easy-going nature and ability to embrace life as it came. She will be remembered fondly for her nurturing heart, unwavering love for her family, and the countless memories shared around the dinner table. She also is survived by many grandchildren; Matthew D. Horton , Randy L. Horton, Shauna Linke, and Miguel A Rivera III.
