Kelly Gene Gould, a distinguished Air Force Meteorologist with a remarkable career spanning 21 years, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 55. Born on April 28, 1970, in Oakland, California, Kelly grew up in Brookings, Oregon, where he developed a love for community and service that would ultimately guide his professional path.

After graduating high school, Kelly joined the Air Force, embarking on a journey that would take him around the world, including assignments in Germany, Kosovo, Kuwait, and Japan. He dedicated the entirety of his illustrious military career to meteorology, ultimately retiring at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. Throughout his service, he also lived in various states, including Washington, Nebraska, Mississippi, and Arizona, garnering respect and friendships along the way.

In 1993, Kelly married Sylvia Roth in Denmark, beginning a partnership that brought joy and stability to his life. Together, they raised two children who were profoundly influenced by their father's loving nature and unwavering support.

Kelly was not only an accomplished career man but also a devoted family man. He cherished his role as a loving father, caretaker, and friend to many in his community. He took great pride in being there for his neighbors, offering support whenever needed. His interests included a passion for the Dallas Cowboys, football, computer science, and computer hardware, hobbies that he enjoyed sharing with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia Gould; his son, Jason Murfin of Fairbanks, Alaska; and his daughter, Sarah Gould of Chicago, Illinois. Kelly is preceded in death by his parents, Denise Nash and George Gould, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion.

Kelly Gene Gould's legacy of service, love for family, and commitment to community will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
