Kathleen Sands, née Marasco, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. Born on May 5, 1954, in Greenwich Village, New York, Katie's life was defined by an enduring warmth and kindness. Her generosity of spirit was boundless, she was the sweetest angel, her heart always open to family, friends, and even strangers, making each person feel truly seen and cherished.

Among Katie's most cherished blessings was her marriage to the love of her life, her beloved Steve. Their partnership was a guiding light, a union built upon deep respect, devotion, playfulness, and joy. Together, their shared journey was filled with moments of happiness, support, and unwavering companionship.

Katie was the daughter of the late Rocco and May Marasco. The values they instilled in her—resilience, warmth, work ethic and love—remained ever-present in her interactions and relationships throughout her days.
