Kathleen Therese Escobar

August 6, 1951 — May 22, 2025

Tucson

Kathy Therese Escobar passed away on May 22, 2025. She was born on August 6, 1951, to Jose and Mary Alice Morales in Morenci, Arizona and raised along with her three bothers, Alexander, Joseph, and David in Clifton.

She began her professional career when she went to school in Phoenix to be a secretary. She worked as a secretary for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tucson, Human Resources at UMC and for the State of Arizona until she retired.

In Tucson, she met Jose Escobar, where they married on January 13, 1990.

She loved playing crossword puzzles, Tejano music, dancing and singing karaoke. Her favorite song to sing was "Tu Solo Tu".

Although our hearts are filled with sadness, we know it was time for her to rest as she peacefully transitioned, surrounded by family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Alex.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Jose Escobar and brothers, Joseph and David. She is also survived by stepchildren, grand kids, and great grand kids, and lots of nieces and nephews.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
