It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved wife, mother, and nana, Karen. Her passing was quick and peaceful. However, the rest of us are now left wondering in true Karen Kendall fashion, ‘What the Hell?!...’
One of Karen’s last wishes was that there be no service. To celebrate Karen’s life, the family asks that you remember them in prayer, hold your loved ones a little tighter when you gather to celebrate life’s milestones, reach out to those you can’t, and whenever you can, do a kindness to others in honor of Karen’s life.
Karen always believed that to make the world a better place, one had to do good unto others. She practiced this throughout her life. She helped, she volunteered, she taught, and she gave. Her favorite charities were the local food pantry and the local PBS station. In honor of her life, the family would ask that you do the same for your favorite charity.
Karen blessed us with her wisdom, her unique sense of humor, her class, and her incredible talents with a needle and thread. She loved her family with all of her very being and she adored each and every one of her friends. I (her oldest daughter Katherine) like to think that all of her friends throughout her lifetime were like beautiful jewels she held in her heart, rare treasures belonging to her alone, precious in her sight.
‘Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not.’
Karen is survived by her beloved husband, Howard, (Deceased 05/05/2025); daughters, Katherine and Kristine; four grandchildren, David, Rebecca, Darin, and Kayla, and seven great-grandchildren.
