“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters.” — Psalm 23
On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 9:30 p.m., the Lord called His faithful servant into His eternal presence. Surrounded by his loved ones, lifted by songs and prayers, his soul was carried to heaven. The city of Tucson, AZ, bore witness to his peaceful and grace-filled departure.
Juventino was born on December 14, 1947, in Sahuaripa, Sonora, Mexico. He grew up in Ciudad Obregón (Cajeme), the city that shaped him. For approximately twenty years — from 1968 to 1989 — he dedicated himself to managing Establo San Anselmo, a dairy farm where he developed deep expertise in veterinary care for livestock. It was work perfectly suited to him: practical, purposeful, and rooted in caring for living beings. He carried it out with the same calm strength, kindness, and wisdom that would define every stage of his life.
In 1989, together with his beloved wife Laura Elena and their three children, he embarked on a new path to Tucson, Arizona, where he established himself as a Saltillo tile specialist — a craft he performed with the same dedication and pride he brought to everything he did.
Tino and Laura were tireless servants of the Lord. In Ciudad Obregón, they served together in the Christian Family Movement, accompanying and strengthening hundreds of couples in their marriages. Upon arriving in Tucson, they continued that same spirit of service by joining the local MFC for several years, and later devoted nearly ten years as “parents” in the Youth Encounter Movement of the Diocese of Tucson, offering guidance and refuge to young people. More recently, they joyfully joined the choir at Ríos de Agua Viva Church, lifting praises to the Lord.
His greatest legacy was the unwavering love he gave his family throughout 54 years of marriage to his life partner, Laura Elena. A life built on faith, service, and devotion to others.
Don Tino was a man deeply loved — and deeply known. Those fortunate enough to cross paths with him — whether in Ciudad Obregón, the city that watched him grow, or in Tucson, the home he chose — remember him with genuine affection and gratitude. His kindness was the kind that is never forgotten. His wisdom was offered gently, never imposed. And his quiet strength was the kind that holds a family together without asking for anything in return. Many will miss him, and all who knew him will remember him with love.
Don Tino is preceded in eternal rest by his beloved parents, Librado Paredes and María Dorame, and by his son Becker Alberto, whose passing left an indelible mark on the family’s heart.
HE IS LOVINGLY SURVIVED BY His wife, Laura Elena; his children Adán Francisco, Laura Margarita (Justin), and Óscar (Nadya). His grandchildren: Lesly (Tyler), Ari (Hunter), Gabriel, Brandon, Nadyne, Adán Ulises, V’Eanna (Andrew), Ethan, and Isabelle. His great‑grandchildren: Keanu and Ramona.
His siblings Margarita, Guadalupe, María Jesús, María Teresa, Luis Alfonso, Ernesto, and Ricardo, who will miss him deeply. After the passing of their dear parents, Don Tino became a paternal figure to them — his presence, his guidance, and his love were an anchor and refuge for the entire family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Sensible Funeral Home, followed by Holy Mass at St. Cyril of Alexandria Parish. His cremated remains will later rest in the family cemetery in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico.
May the Good Shepherd hold him in His eternal rest. His memory will forever be a blessing to those who love him.
