With broken hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Josie Montoya — a woman whose love knew no limits, whose strength carried far and wide, and whose presence was known in every room she walked into.
Josie was one of a kind — a firecracker with a heart of gold. She was strong, bold, and unafraid to speak her truth, but she also had the gentlest soul, full of compassion, wisdom, and warmth. She lived life with passion, never backing down when it came to protecting those she loved.
Her spirit was fierce, her laughter unforgettable, and her love—oh, her love—was the kind that wrapped around you like a warm blanket and stayed with you long after she was gone.
She was the rock of her family, the safe place for her three boys to run to, and the gentle guide that helped them find their way. As a mother, she gave her all—her time, her strength, her prayers, and her endless love. She raised her boys with courage and grace, teaching them to be proud of who they are and to always show up for the people they love.
As a grandmother, Josie was pure magic. Her grandchildren adored her. She was their biggest cheerleader, their protector, their storyteller. Her love filled their hearts with joy, her lessons will guide them forever, and her hugs will be deeply missed.
She was a loving sister and a devoted daughter.
Her family was her whole world, and she never let a day go by without making sure they knew it. Whether through a home-cooked meal, a warm embrace, a late-night phone call, or a quick, sassy comment that made everyone laugh, Josie had a way of making people feel seen.
She didn’t need fancy words or grand gestures—Josie showed her love in real, honest, everyday ways. And that love, that fire, that beautiful soul of hers—will never fade. Her legacy is stitched into the hearts of everyone who had the gift of knowing her.
Though the world feels dimmer without her, we find comfort in knowing Josie is now at peace, surrounded by love on the other side. We will carry her with us in every moment, every memory, every whispered “I love you” into the wind.
Rest easy, beautiful Josie. You were our fire, our heart, our home. We will miss you forever, and love you even longer.
