It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Jody Anne Abrahams, who passed away peacefully after a courageous six-year battle with terminal cancer.

Jody was born on November 26, 1958, in Miami Beach. She was raised by her mother, Renee, and her grandmother, Sylvia, two remarkable women whose strength, resilience, and love helped shape the woman Jody became. Their example stayed with her throughout her life and guided the way she loved and cared for others.

Jody is survived by her devoted daughters, Heather and Michelle, and her three cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Hannah, and Tyler. Being a grandmother brought Jody immeasurable joy, and some of the happiest moments of her life were welcoming each of her grandbabies into the world. Her love for them was unconditional, and they were truly the light of her life.

A compassionate and determined woman, Jody fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse at 54 years young. Despite enduring the heartbreaking loss of the love of her life, Dave, she persevered with incredible strength and dedication to achieve the career she had always dreamed of. Her resilience inspired everyone who knew her.

For six long years, Jody fought cancer with extraordinary courage, grace, and determination. Though our hearts are broken by her loss and she will be missed beyond words, we take comfort in knowing she is finally free from pain and at peace.

Jody’s strength, love, and unwavering devotion to her family will remain with us always. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
