Jill Angela Schindler left this world on June 24, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. Jill was born on May 27, 1960, in Hinsdale, Illinois, and her vibrant light illuminated every place she called home, every endeavor she embraced, and every life she touched.
Jill’s journey began in the close-knit community of Hinsdale, where the seeds of her vivacious spirit and friendly heart were sown. She carried these qualities with her throughout her life, never losing that spark that made her instantly likeable and warmly approachable to all she met. Jill’s youthful years were marked by a deep curiosity for learning and a drive to experience life beyond the ordinary. She attended Culver Academy for girls in Indiana during her high school years, laying a strong foundation for her future path. Her education then took her to finishing school in the Netherlands after high school, a unique chapter that further broadened her horizons, instilling in her the grace and confidence she would carry throughout her life. Hungry for knowledge and new perspectives, she continued her education at the renowned Parsons School of Design in New York, New York, where her natural artistic talents flourished.
After her studies, Jill returned to Illinois, where her professional path was as lively and dynamic as her personality. In the early 1990s, she became the owner of a limousine company in the Chicago area—a proud family business. This venture was not just a career, but a testament to Jill’s entrepreneurial spirit, her commitment to family, and her readiness to face new challenges head-on. The limousine company was a family affair; she built and ran it alongside her then-husband, Charles Flick, whom she married in Chicago, Illinois, in the spring of 1986. Though their paths eventually diverged, the time they spent together brought Jill extraordinary experiences that enriched her life and her sense of community.
Jill's personal passions were both diverse and defining. She possessed an artistic soul—her love for design expressed itself not just in her career, but in the thoughtful way she approached every aspect of her life. Her creativity was mirrored in her garden and her kitchen, where she delighted in cooking for loved ones, sharing laughter and stories around the table. Jill was a devoted lover of dogs and cats, always finding comfort in their companionship. Physical fitness and outdoor pursuits kept her spirited and energized, and her commitment to staying active inspired those close to her.
Those who knew Jill remember her as spirited and fun-loving, always quick to share a smile, a joke, or an encouraging word. She was a friend to many, her warmth and kindness radiating in every relationship she fostered. Jill’s generosity and genuine nature made her a cherished member of every circle she entered.
Jill is deeply mourned and lovingly remembered by her family: her brothers, Mark and Karl Schindler; her sisters-in-law, Teresa and Lynnette Schindler; her nephew James and her nieces Holly and Lindsay; her cousins; and her beloved great nieces and nephews. Each of them carries forward her legacy of resilience, joy, and unconditional love. Jill’s memory is also cherished by all who shared the bonds of friendship and kinship with her. She joins in eternal rest her father, James Schindler; and her mother, Agnes Schindler.
Creativity, dedication, and love for others defined the beautiful life of Jill Angela Schindler. Her infectious laughter, her unwavering support, and her open-hearted embrace of life will never be forgotten. Though her absence creates an ache that cannot be filled, her memory will continue to inspire and uplift all who were lucky enough to know her.
