James Tito Figueroa, Jimbo, passed away on October 16th, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his Wife, Children, Grandchildren, Great-Grandchild, and other family. Jim was loved dearly by family and friends who will miss him.

While his last battle was short, Jim approached it with the spirit of a badger like he had throughout his life as a Tucson native and Tucson high alumni. He is best known for his sense of humor, love of golf, and as an animal conservationist while being a kill-free hunter. He will be deeply missed on the golf course where he would lovingly tease his competitors by saying they were “Tree under.”

Jim was met on the other side by his mother, father, and his cow-chasing dog Chanel.

As per Jimbo’s wish, there will be a private celebration of his life and legacy.
