In Loving Memory of Jacob Luna
Jacob Luna, a beloved father, partner, brother, and friend, passed away on September 10, 2026, while embarking on one of the many adventures that brought meaning and joy to his life.
Born on April 2, 1987, in Bakersfield, California, Jacob brought warmth, laughter, and genuine kindness to everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. His life was a testament to the beauty of living in the moment, embracing life’s unexpected turns, and finding joy in even the simplest of experiences.
Jacob was the cherished son of the late Micaela Luna, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his partner, Beatrize Granados, with whom he shared a beautiful relationship that began when they were just 16 years old. Through the years, their relationship grew into a partnership built on understanding, kindness, and laughter. Together, they shared a life filled with care, memories, and the joy of raising their children.
Above all, Jacob was a proud and loving father. His children, Analia Luna and Ares Luna, were the light of his life and the source of immense pride and love. He taught them that life is meant to be lived fully—to be strong, to be kind, to keep an open mind, and to embrace every moment and every adventure along the way. The lessons he gave them will remain a lasting part of who they are.
Jacob is also survived by his siblings, Llahaira Delgado, Gerardo Cazares, and Gloria Cazares, with whom he shared the memories and experiences of childhood.
Jacob graduated from Rincon High School in 2005 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, carrying with him the values of dedication, courage, responsibility, and service. Those values remained an important part of the man he was and the life he lived.
Those who knew Jacob will remember his unmistakable sense of humor, joyful spirit, and ability to bring laughter into a room. He was hardworking, loving, adventurous, and deeply devoted to his children. He treasured his friendships and made people feel welcomed and valued. Jacob encouraged those around him to keep an open mind, appreciate the present, and never be afraid to experience something new.
One of Jacob’s favorite expressions was, “It’s part of the adventure.” Those words captured so much of who he was. He understood that life could be unpredictable, but he chose to meet it with curiosity, humor, strength, and an open heart. His adventurous spirit inspired those around him to see possibility even in the unknown.
