It is with heavy hearts that we grieve the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Howard Owen Kendall.
Born to parents Howard W. and Catherine in Aberdeen, Idaho, Howard served in the Air Force and later as a civil servant for 32 years with the United States Postal Service. Howard met and married the love of his life Karen in Tucson, Arizona. Together they raised two lovely daughters, Katherine and Kristine.
A devoted family man, Howard enjoyed spending time with his family when he wasn’t hard at work earning a living. In his free time, Howard enjoyed woodworking, carving small sculptures out of wood, old cars, model trains, and in retirement he was active in the Southern Arizona PT Cruiser and Prowler Club (now disbanded).
Howard was known for his work ethic as well as his quirky sense of humor. He loved to laugh as well as make others laugh with him. Nor was he above a practical joke now and then!
His daughters delighted in the father who enjoyed reading to them, skating with them during weekly family trips to the local roller-skating rink, and playing his favorite vinyl records on the console stereo so loud in the living room the windows rattled!
Howard is preceded in death by his parents Howard W. and Catherine and his beloved wife of 62 years, Karen. He is survived by his daughters Katherine and Kristine; four grandchildren; David, Rebecca, Darin, and Kayla; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dennis.
