Harrison James Cole, age 19, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2026, in San Diego, California. Born on September 22, 2006, in San Diego, Harrison lived a life marked by determination, loyalty, friendship, and service to others.

As a young child, Harrison moved with his family to Arkansas before settling in Tucson, Arizona, in 2020. Homeschooled by his father and grandmother, he earned his GED early and was known as a hardworking, capable young man who could accomplish just about anything he set his mind to. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades and had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went. He was especially close to his father, Raymond Thomas Cole, and treasured the relationships he shared with his family.

Following in the footsteps of both his father and grandfather, Harrison proudly enlisted in the United States Navy after completing boot camp at Great Lakes. He served aboard the USS Cape St. George, a role he cherished, and thoroughly enjoyed life at sea. His dedication and work ethic earned him a promotion to E-3 on August 13, 2026, and he had recently been recommended for early advancement, reflecting the promise and potential that lay before him.

Harrison embraced life with enthusiasm and authenticity. He loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles, anime, tattoos, and self-expression. He was a gifted athlete who enjoyed lacrosse, soccer, water polo, and football. Bowling was one of his greatest passions, and he became a state champion in Arizona, California, and Arkansas. He was also mechanically inclined and enjoyed woodworking and electrical projects alongside his grandfather. A devoted member of St. Michael's community, Harrison dreamed of one day traveling to Japan and experiencing its culture firsthand.

Those who knew Harrison will remember his hardworking spirit, his kindness toward others, and his ability to bring people together. He loved animals, especially his beloved dog, Mooch. Though his time on earth was far too short, the impact he made on those around him will endure for generations. As his father lovingly described him, Harrison was "a phoenix that never got to fly."

Harrison is survived by his father, Raymond Thomas Cole, Jr.; his grandfather, Raymond Sr.; his brother, Branden Cole; his sister, Peyton Phillips; his beloved grandmother, Luella June Casebolt; his aunts, D'Anne Tidwell and Michelle; and his faithful dog, Mooch.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; his uncles, James, Cliff, and Tyler; and his aunt, Arnetta.
