Gianina M. Scavone, born in Tucson, Arizona on November 20, 1963, passed away peacefully in her hometown on November 21, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Norma T. Kuligowski and the late Cirino G. Scavone.

Gianina was a devoted mother, a cherished Nonna, and a warm, loving presence in the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Stephen Scavone-Moore and Rhiannon Scavone-Moore, as well as her treasured grandchildren, Sen-Lilah Couch and Hendrix Hammond. She is also survived by her siblings, Ricardo Scavone, Cecilia Ann Scavone, and Carlos Scavone.

A woman with a kind heart and a joyful spirit, Gianina was known for her caring nature, her unwavering support, and the happiness that radiated from her. She worked at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, where her kindness and helpfulness touched many.

She loved Stevie Nicks, The Sound of Music, The Color Purple, and sipping on her favorite whiskey, Jack Daniels — little pieces of joy that reflected her vibrant personality. She was proudly the first niece and cousin to many, roles she embraced with warmth and affection.

Above all else, Gianina was best known as a devoted mother and an even more extraordinary Nonna. Her love for her family was boundless, and she will be remembered forever for her generous heart, her comforting presence, and the love she shared so freely.
