Eric L. Colbeck

Eric L. Colbeck, a cherished gold miner and dedicated family man, passed away on January 10, 2026, at Casa De La Luz Hospice in Tucson, Arizona. Born on January 5, 1960, in Tucson, Eric was a lifelong resident of the area he loved dearly.

Throughout his career as a gold miner, Eric not only showcased his industrious spirit but also exemplified leadership in every endeavor he undertook. He was an avid gold panner, relishing the camaraderie of his best buddies—Brian and Donna, Steve and Kathey, and Marc—often finding the greatest joy in their shared adventures in the great outdoors. Aside from his passion for mining, Eric had a deep affection for camping, enjoying the beauty of nature and creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Known for being a loving husband, Eric was a wonderful provider to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Julie A. Colbeck, who stood by his side through thick and thin. His legacy continues with his sons, Chad, Raymond, and Logan Colbeck, who carry forward the values he instilled in them. Eric was also a devoted brother, remembered fondly by his brother, Mark Colbeck, and held dear in the hearts of his mother, Annette Irma Colbeck.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd T. Colbeck, and a sister, both of whom he missed dearly. In the hearts of his family, Eric will forever be remembered as a great dad, husband, and brother, complemented by a personality that shone brightly as a leader in all he pursued.
