Memorial Service
Starts at 10:00 am (Mountain (no DST) time)
In the gentle twilight of the world, there lived a man named Dustin William Long, born beneath the wide skies of Hermiston, Oregon, on the eleventh day of April in the year of our reckoning, 1989. His journey, like that of many a wanderer in tales of old, led him through the wilds and fields, where he learned the arts of hunting and the ways of the land, and joined the fellowship of the 4H and the noble company of the FFA. Paintball battles and the call to arms in the military shaped his youth, forging in him a spirit both steadfast and bold.
In the year 2006, beneath the gentle gaze of fate, Dustin met his beloved, Stephanie, in the quiet town of Hermiston. Their hearts entwined, and in 2008, they pledged their troth, embarking together on a journey that led them from Oregon to Idaho, thence to Alabama and Texas, ever seeking new horizons. Two children blessed their union, and many a night was spent in the company of board games and the distant echoes of online adventures. Through perseverance and valor, Dustin earned his wings, mastering the art of the helicopter, and upon leaving the service of arms, he found his calling in Arizona, serving the realm of D.H.S., while still holding fast to the banner of the National Guard.
He was the steadfast stone upon which his family built their haven, a tireless laborer whose hands shaped comfort and safety for those he loved. His laughter, bright and ringing as the bells of Elven halls, lingered long in memory, and his presence warmed the hearts of all who crossed his path. Guided by faith, his devotion to Jesus shone as a beacon, leading his kin and welcoming neighbor and stranger alike, as if all were kin beneath the stars.
Surrounded by the love of parents, grandparents, three sisters, three brothers, and a host of kin and companions who became family, Dustin’s tale is woven into the tapestry of many lives.
On the twelfth day of January, in the year 2026, at the hour of ten in the morning, those who cherished him shall gather at Casa Church, 10801 N La Cholla Blvd, Tucson, Arizona, to honor his memory. Ensure thy presence at the appointed hour, no later than the ninth bell and three quarters past (9:45am). The family, in their wisdom, asks that no flowers be brought, for the remembrance of Dustin dwells not in fleeting blooms, but in the enduring love and laughter he bestowed upon the world.
