Donald Frear, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Arizona on October 28, 2026.

Born on October 24, 1945, to Clarence and Gwendolyn Frear, Don lived a life marked by service, adventure, friendship, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. Those who knew him will remember his passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, exploring bike trails, landscaping, traveling, and spending time with friends. He embraced life with enthusiasm and was always ready for the next journey or meaningful conversation.

Don's character was perhaps best reflected in a quote he often shared:

"There is a big difference between being a human being and being human. Only a few realize this."

These words embodied his belief in kindness, compassion, and treating others with dignity and respect.

Don proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. In recognition of his military service, his final wish was to receive a full military salute, honoring the dedication and commitment he demonstrated while serving his nation.

Throughout his life, Don believed in helping others and supporting causes that made a difference. As part of his legacy, he has made a significant donation to Rogers Memorial Hospital, a cause that was meaningful to him. In lieu of flowers, Don would encourage family and friends to honor his memory by considering a donation to Rogers Memorial so that others may benefit from the care and support they provide.

Don will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his unwavering independence, his generosity, and the many friendships he cultivated throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May he ride on peaceful roads and remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
