Dennis Lee Gilbert Langbecker, age 81, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, in Marana, Arizona. He was born on August 30, 1944 to the late Gilbert Langbecker and Coletta (Eilbes) Smith. Dennis grew up in Wisconsin and Southern California, graduating from Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI. He then joined and served in the US Navy, which he often talked about.
Dennis was a talented Machinist by trade, dedicated to his craft for many years. Outside of work, his life was filled with deep faith, community, and simple joys. He was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lake Mills, WI before moving to Arizona and becoming a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tucson, Arizona. He loved reading the Bible and sharing his voice as a dedicated member of the church choir. Known for his outgoing nature, Dennis truly loved talking to everyone he met and was a friend to all. He filled his free time playing Bingo, Sheepshead, and computer games, and he was known to enjoy peaceful, long walks. Dennis was also a passionate sports fan who fiercely loved watching Green Bay Packers football and Milwaukee Brewers baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Colleta; his first wife, Gloria (Mooney) Langbecker, son, Tony Langbecker; son-in-law, Kim Hoeppner; his second wife, Maryann (Spangler) Langbecker, his brother, Dale Langbecker; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dennis is survived by his three children, daughter Cheri Hoeppner, son Rick (Laurie) Langbecker, and daughter Tina Dahlke. He is further survived by his sister, Diane (Langbecker) Paulie; his brother, Brian Langbecker; grandchildren, Chani Hoeppner, Crystal (Dahlke) and Brian Cramer, Robert (Libby) Dahlke, Kassi Hoeppner, Mandi Hoeppner, David (Amanda) Dahlke, Michael (Tara) Dahlke, Jaimi (Hoeppner) and Dustin Porter, Charley Langbecker, and Emilie (Langbecker) and Braden Lilly; and many cherished great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held at a future date. Dennis will be laid to rest in Veterans Cemetery in Marana, Arizona.
The family extends thanks and appreciation to MaryAnn’s nephew Dan Spangler and Dennis’ loving neighbors for their love and support
