Listen to Obituary

David “Dave” Bieniek, age 80, passed away peacefully on November 2nd in Green Valley, Arizona surrounded by loved ones, jazz music, and photos of times long gone by.

Born on July 14, 1945, in South Milwaukee Wisconsin, David was the youngest of three to Joseph and Cecilia Bieniek. He grew up as a brilliant, skilled worker and musician spending twenty years as a die sinker before moving to Arizona in 1999, where he fondly said he “didn’t have to shovel sunshine.”

After moving to Arizona with music in his heart, he used his skills and education to start Dave’s Handyman Business and join a music group in Green Valley where he helped, and played, for hundreds of people. He enjoyed woodworking and made many pieces of home furnishings, as well as a beautiful chess board for his grandson. He also liked to eat pizza, watch old cartoons and the Packers--and was very proud to own Packer shares. A man of few words, he could turn a conversation on its head with just one word or look. He never complained or held a grudge, so if you were in his life, you were there to stay.

Dave is preceded in passing by his first wife, Susan, and his brother, Edwin Bieniek. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Linda; his children, Anthony (Tony) and Christine (Tina); his grandchildren, Aryana and Ian; and his sister, Loretta Jozefacki. He leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love.

He is also lovingly remembered by his stepchildren, Jacquelyn, Alex, and Alicia; his step-grandchildren, Amber, Tiffany, Ethan, and Emily; and four great-grandsons: Edwin, Derek, Owen, and Kahlil.

An invite only memorial will be held on Thursday, November 6th at 4:00 PM in Tucson. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Green Valley.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for cash donations to cover funeral costs… because Dave would want it that way. Venmo: @Bieniek110225 or email: Bieniek110225@gmail.com to find out more
