Constance Louise Welch, affectionately known as Connie, passed away on March 18, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. Born on November 28, 1955, in Roswell, New Mexico, Connie’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with kindness, dedication, and a deep love for her family and the world around her.
Connie’s journey began in Roswell, but it was Tucson, Arizona, where she truly blossomed. She graduated from Palo Verde High School, where her curiosity and passion for helping others took root. Pursuing her dreams, she attended Pima Medical Institute and graduated in 1987, embarking on a fulfilling career as a phlebotomist for over 20 years. Through her work, she touched countless lives with her gentle care and professionalism.
Family was the cornerstone of Connie’s life. She was a devoted mother to her daughters Tiffany Welch, Melissa (Albert) Felix, Cherie (Martin Valencia) Welch, and Vanessa (Josh) Welch, and her sons Wade Welch who preceded her in death and Charles (Erin) Welch. Her heart expanded even further through her cherished grandchildren: grandsons Derek Welch, Colton Welch, Mason Welch, Wade Welch Jr., Andres Valencia, Anthony Valencia, Alex Valencia, and Jaxon Moores, Jose Martinez ; and granddaughters Alauna Gary, Chasity Gary, Arianna Welch, Maria Felix, Natalie Welch, and Mia Welch; and beloved great-grandson Watson Welch. Connie’s family was a vibrant, loving community that reflected her generous spirit and unwavering devotion.
Her love extended beyond family; she was passionate about music, spending time outdoors, and most of all, she adored the beach. Those who knew Connie remember her fondness for the soothing sounds of the ocean and the simple joys found in nature’s embrace. These passions brought joy and serenity to her life and inspired those around her.
Connie’s life was marked by resilience and grace. She carried with her the memories of her late parents, Ruth and Richard, her former husband Charles Welch, her brother Harold Szatrowski, and her precious great-granddaughter Delilah Welch. Though they are no longer with us, the bond she shared with each of them remains an enduring part of her story.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Connie’s life will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, April 24, 2026 at Sensible Funerals & Cremation, located at 109 W. Grant Road, Tucson, Arizona 85705. It will be a time for family, friends, and all who were touched by Connie’s kindness to gather, remember, and honor the remarkable woman she was.
Constance Louise Welch leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and joy. Her gentle spirit, boundless compassion, and infectious enthusiasm for life will be deeply missed but never forgotten. In every sunset by the beach and every melody of music played, we will find traces of Connie’s enduring light.
