Listen to Obituary

Carole Ann Robertson, age 89, formerly of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 in Tucson, Arizona.

Carole was a true southern homemaker, being in the Twilight Homemakers and managing her household wisely. To make extra money, she and husband, Ed, traded antiques and depression glass. She had several booths in the Cadiz antique malls. She also babysat when her girls were younger and worked in retail at Fashion Fabrics and JC Penney. Carole volunteered at hospice after her husband, Ed, passed away.

She was a member of St Johns United Methodist Church and transferred her membership to Linton First United Methodist.

Carole and Ed were worldwide travelers, extensively taking trips to Europe, Canada and Mexico. They took many trips with friends through the Planters Bank sponsored tours. They traveled to all 50 states in the U.S.

Carole had lived in Tucson for the last 4 years at the Country Club of LaCholla and was very active in her community, so much so she was rarely in her apartment.

She is preceded in death by husband, Edward C. Robertson of 58 years; longtime companion, Walter (Mort) Adams of Linton; parents, George and Sylvia Reincke and brother, George.

Survived by three daughters, Carol Lynne Dye of Elizabethtown, her two sons, Jeffrey (Monica and their sons, Cameron and Jaxon), and Brent Dye of Louisville, Janet Robertson Leon (Raul) of Tucson and Karen Marie Gossett (Todd) of Cookeville, Tennessee, their children, Kayla Rogers (Adam) with their son, Charlie of Hopkinsville, and Kyle Gossett of Chicago. She is survived by sister-in-law, Terry Wells of Jeffersonville, Indiana and her 3 children and 2 nieces in Georgia and Florida and lifetime friend of 59 years, Barbara Smith of Hopkinsville.

A private graveside ceremony will be held later.
