Betty Lynn Bucks

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Lynn Bucks, who left this world on July 15, 2025, at the age of 70.

Born on March 3, 1955, Betty moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1960, a place she proudly called home for the rest of her life. She was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by service, strength and deep compassion.

Betty devoted 29 years to the Altar Valley School District, where she poured her heart and and soul into her work and made a lasting impact on generations of students, colleagues and families. She truly loved what she did. Her dedication to the school district and community was evident in everything she touched.

Outside of her professional life, Betty was a devoted mother, loyal friend, and deeply generous soul who always took care of those around her. She was strong, selfless, and full of love—an extraordinary human being who lifted others simply by being herself.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Sensible Funerals & Cremation, reception to follow, 109 W. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705.

To honor her memory, guests are kindly asked to wear purple, her favorite color and a reflection of her vibrant spirit.

Betty’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten.
