It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Alicia Lopez, who was born on January 5, 1943, in Douglas, Arizona, and passed away on March 15, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Salvador Lopez, with whom she shared 61 beautiful years of marriage; her beloved son, Richard Lopez; and her mother, Esther Barreras.
She will be lovingly remembered for her dedication to her family and faith. She worked in cosmetology and was a faithful member of her Catholic church, where she generously gave her time as a catechism teacher and Eucharistic minister. Her kindness, devotion, and unwavering faith touched many lives.
She was a wonderful host who warmly welcomed family and friends into her home, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Nilda (Craig) Lucas and Melissa (Ryan) Henton; her daughter-in-law, Kelly Lopez; her grandchildren, Joseph (Chelsea) Lucas, Andrew (Julianna) Lucas, Mason Henton, and Miranda (Sebastian) Lopez; and her great-grandchildren, Carter and Sophia Lucas.
Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, April 10, 2026 at Saint Francis de Sales Parish, 1375 S. Camino Seco, Tucson, Arizona 85710.
Interment will follow at All Faiths Memorial Park, 2151 S. Avenida Los Reyes, Tucson, Arizona 85710.
